Omitting to apply the parking-brake before exiting the vehicle cab be costly and have grave consequences.

The Bellan Handbrake Release Alarm (HRA) greatly enhances operational safety by immediately alerting both driver, and any other nearby persons, to a vehicle being exited without having applied the handbrake.

Whenever the driver’s door is opened with the parking-brake selected ‘OFF’ the HRA will activate a loud warning siren.  The siren can then be stopped only by applying the parking brake.

The Bellan Handbrake Release alarm can be fitted to any make and model of HGV and is an essential feature of any health and safety policy to help ensure the safety of vehicle operators, depot staff and the general public. 

The handbrake-off sensor can be installed to respond either to an electrical input or can be configured to work in conjunction with an air pressure switch.

The Bellan Hand Brake Release Alarm is supplied as a complete kit with a pressure switch or electrical pick up and can be fitted to most HGVs without alteration.
