Installed between the vehicle’s batteries and interior/body lights the Bellan Cargo Light Controller monitors both how long the vehicle’s lights have been left on and the level of available charge left in the battery. If the interior/body lights have been left on for twenty minutes the Cargo Light Controller will cause the interior/body lights to flash eight times, after which time the lights will be automatically turned off.

Similarly, if, the vehicle’s battery voltage should fall to a critical level, for whatever reason, the vehicle’s interior/body lights will again flash eight times and again be disconnected, thereby safeguarding the welfare of the driver and ensuring that the battery retains sufficient power to start the vehicle.

The Cargo Light Controller(CLC) is the ideal solution for vehicles fitted with body / cargo lights designed to control the cargo/body lights on any type of commercial vehicle or trailer, with the health and safety of the operators in mind.

The CLC allows multipoint switching in the vehicle body. In addition to the low voltage sensing and visual warning of pending light isolation, the CLC offers low voltage battery protection from the lights being accidentally left on. When the lights are left on for more than twenty minutes, the CLC will blink the lights at a rate of eight times per minute, to alert the driver/operator of impending lights off. After the eighth blink, the lights will be switched off to prevent further current draw from the battery.
