How ‘Mobileye’® Works
A global pioneer and leader in ‘vision-based’ driver assistance and collision avoidance systems ‘Mobileye’ uses pioneering vision processing technology to provide the driver with three essential accident-prevention warnings in a single unit.
Using ‘Mobileye’s unique computer vision technology the system detects and measures the distance to vehicles and lane markings, providing the driver with timely alerts in order to prevent possible collisions.
The radar and vision systems use unique data fusion algorithms that combine the inputs from radar and vision sensors to enhance functionality and increase road safety. The systems captures road images, and processes them on a custom-designed application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chip and proprietary algorithms. Their unique monocular vision platform works as a “third eye” to help drivers improve safety and avoid accidents, and has the potential to revolutionize the way we drive.
The ‘Mobileye’ system includes a compact camera and processing unit located on the windshield behind the rear-view mirror, and a driver display placed on the dash. Two small speakers on either side of the driver are positioned to provide audible warning signals.
